What information do I need for a bank transfer to Portugal?
If you plan on sending money to a Portuguese bank account, you will need to obtain the following information from your recipient:
- Full name of account holder
- IBAN
- BIC/SWIFT code

What does a Portuguese IBAN look like?
A Portugal IBAN is 25 characters long, consisting of an ISO Country Code, two IBAN check digits and a Basic Bank Account Number (BBAN). We require the IBAN of your recipient so that we are able to identify the correct bank account for payment.
