A Zengin code is also known as a Japanese branch code and denotes the specific branch that the bank account belongs to. By providing this piece of information when making a payment to Japan, it helps us to identify the account and ensure your money gets to where it needs to be.
Every bank account in Japan has a Zengin code, which is made up of 4 digits that represent the bank, with 3 additional digits to identify the branch.
